This turned out to be a lot louder than expected. Must wear hearing protection when using. Sorta difficult to clean. I ended up purchasing an airless sprayer as it was quite, lighter in hand and easier to use. This becomes heavy after a while.I don't know if I should review this as i have no experience with other paint sprayers. I bought this model for one reason; you can spray overhead. And you can provided your have great arm strength. This sprayer is heavy, top heavy to be precise. Even the paint cup is robust. After the first day using it I had to get a carpal tunnel wrist strap for my left wrist because I sprained it trying to hold the sprayer up and spray properly standing on a ladder. I was using expensive exterior latex primer/paint that is heavy so that didn't help the weight either. It sprays well and the vertical/horizontal adjustable spray nozzle works as claimed. The paint cup holds a quart, which seems to be standard for airless sprayers, and the swinging pick-up that allows you to spray pointing just about any angle from overhead to at the floor works great. It doesn't take long to empty the cup so you will be refilling often. You will need to either not care about overspray or take the effort to really put drop cloths over, under, and around anything you don't want paint on. Atomized paint will get everywhere. I wore goggles, a painter's face mask, and a baseball cap, and I was covered with paint from overspray (back spray?). The goggles were useless after less than 10 minutes as they were covered with paint mist. It is also loud. I was painting the underside of a new roof extension to cover basement stairs at the back of my house. My neighbor across the street told me he could hear me from his living room. I can't imagine what painting the inside of a house would be like.Clean up is as messy and time consuming as I expected, but if you don't do a good job you wasted your $100.Bottom line:Ease of use-5 starsAbility to paint ceilings and floors- 5 starsWeight-1 starClean up- 1 star*Noise-1 starWould I buy it again? Maybe, but I need to use it more on projects like walls or fences that don't require ladders or reaching up for long periods of time. Adding up the cost of the sprayer, the drop cloths, tape, face masks, goggles, plus the time needed for preparation like putting up the drop cloths and to clean the sprayer after use, I might have been better off hiring the job out, but I have the sprayer to use on any other project. If I had the money I would have purchased one with a hose you put in bucket of paint so you aren't constantly refilling the paint cup.*They are a pain to clean, but it can't be helped if you want it to last. You will never get one of these as clean as new, especially on the outside. If you could submerse the power head you might, but after using it one day the outside is pretty much white. This painter is well worth the money. So far, I have only used for about 30 minutes. What worked for me:1) It was super simple to setup and start painting.2) You can easily control the direction of spray from vertical to horizontal by rotating the head.3) Comes with a rubber, 1 gallon paint can lid that snaps snuggly to paint cans and has a small opening the size of golf ball that makes pouring paint into the sprayer very easy and clean.4) It has multiple settings ranging from wood stain to normal house paint making switching back and forth effortless.5) Clean up is really fast and easy to do, even for someone like me who has never used a power sprayer before. What didn't work for me:1) This sprayer is very LOUD when you use it. I first started using it and had to stop after a few seconds from the deafening sound. If you don't use ear protection, I can see this giving you a bad headache or worse after more than a few minutes. This thing is way louder than my lawnmower and even my pancake air compressor. Even with my workshop ear muffs on it was still noticeably louder than any of my other power tools. I think only my table saw is louder. Invest in some good ear protection before using this.2) Runs through the paint in the reservoir extremely fast making you stop frequently to refill. Do yourself a favor and buy the extension hose as well and save yourself the hassle.3) The attached cord is super short (maybe a foot long) meaning that the male-female plug is constantly hitting your hip while you spray. It's more of an annoyance than anything. Another foot or two of cord would have been perfect.Overall, it's a good sprayer for the money and if you buy the extension hose and some good ear protection, you're golden.3)I originally gave this product one star review. After I took it all apart, cleaned it and put it back together myself, I discovered that it actually works fine. The photo above shows what happens if there is one piece slightly loose. I assume either from the manufacturer or during shipping one piece of the product came a little bit loose and resulted in paint leaking everywhere. So, I highly recommend that you take it all apart and put it back together before you use it for the first time. I was able to paint a wood ceiling start to finish in two hours. Primed it and only needed one coat of paint, the best part about this is you don’t have to wait for the primer to be completely dry before you start your coat of paint since there is no roller or brush to pull at tacky paint. Make sure you do a good job with drop sheets to avoid over-spray damage and you’ll be good to go!After reading online reviews of this model and other Wagner products I was very wary. However, the description of paint sprayer was what I was looking for... inexpensive, can spray interior latex high gloss finish without dilution, and can spray floor or ceiling (not level dependent). My project was to paint 6 closet doors that have horizontal slats top to bottom. I tried doing just one by brush and what a paint. 1 coat on 1 side took 30 minutes to do and the finish was terrible. Had to do another 2 coats and wait in-between coats for it to dry. Needless to say I was not looking forward to another 1.5 hours per door for the remaining 5 doors. So, ordered this 6.6 GPH PP from Wagner. Let me tell you, even if this thing breaks and I can't use it again, it was well worth it! In under an hour I had painted the remaining 5 doors and they only required 1 coat! I did a second coat for minor touch ups but this thing worked great! Clean-up was relatively easy and the instructions were straight forward.I did experience quite a bit of fogging over spray. Drop cloths are a must. I also mistakenly let the cup run dry once. This was only an issue after I refilled with paint and the next spray resulted in drops on the doors. Not really a problem as I was able to use a regular brush to smooth them out and respray.I read in one review that the finish wasn't smooth. I used a high gloss (trim) latex paint and my doors are very smooth. Sin duda la volvería a comprarI do not work for Wagner. This thing is awesome. I'm a decent painter but tend be messy. This gun makes it easy to be neat. Decent coverage, expect to use at least 50% more paint. The time saved is worth the extra paint. The 45deg spray angle worked like a charm. I had an eave to spray the underside of and from my ladder it worked perfectly. You start to figure out when your light on paint by the weight of the unit so don't climb that ladder without refilling.I love the paint can lid pour spout included with the kit. Saves so much mess. Clean up with the instructions was simple, and all tools are included to clean. The only thing I would add is a cord clamp or velcro strap to attach your extension cord to so the unit doesn't come unplugged when your traversing a ladder. My wife had to hand me the extension cord a couple of times before I knotted it around the tool. For the price point and the performance Wagner is on point with this product.I absolutely love this sprayer. Working with solid stain I tackled 75 feet of fence in twenty minutes that would have taken a mind-numbing, tedious full day with a hand brush. The sprayer must be disassembled and scrupulously cleaned afterwards lest the paint dry and clog the works. It is best to familiarize yourself with the parts before painting so that it can be taken apart and cleaned quickly after the job is done. For the time and effort it saved me, the sprayer is worth every cent!
