There is a reason why this item is currently listed at a buck fifty. .. Well, two reasons actually. #1, it’s Made in China. At first I thought I was going to be able to say that I have FINALLY found an item that is “priced right” for Made in China! Hahaha Well, then that brings me to #2. . . There is a “flaw”. The center “ring” is a half-inch short of going all the way through the center core of a roll of tape. There is no way that it was supposed to be this way. Nonetheless, it does not really hinder the use of the item. But you just have to be careful that the roll of tape doesn’t slip too far. If I were going to be using this constantly all day long, then I would certainly purchase a different dispenser that is actually made correctly. But being that I only use it a time-or-two per-day, I can live with it the way it is. . . especially for the cost. Otherwise it works fine.I purchased this Tach-It CS2 2" wide clamshell type tape gun over 3 years ago and I'm still very much happy with it. It's smaller than the one with the handle so it takes less space in my storage cabinet yet it gets the job done.I mostly use it to tape up papers, letters, and magazines inside a paper bag for throwing out recycle papers once a week. I like that its has tape holders so that it keeps the tape open after each use so I don't have to look for the start of the tape. The cutter is very sharp and it's easy to cut the tape.It also has adjustable handle so it can accommodate 2" tapes with different thickness.5 out of 5 stars! Very easy to load and unload. We first bought 5 of them. Going back for more. We use lots of packing tape every single day. Item is light-weight making it for a wonderful product. Easy to use. Pick up the item, use the tape, set the item back down. No more using scissors to cut pieces. The Scissor blades become glued with residue because the blades have to touch the glued part of the tape to cut it. But with this item, the cutting edge is on the top of the non-glued tape side. Works great. We have one in the garage to tape trash boxes, one in the computer room, and so on. This item also works for the Fragile Handle with Care tape the same size of the packing tape. Now the tape can always be found on the blue item. No need to go hunting for scissors anymore.I've only used for a few weeks at this point. It's OK for inexpensive tape dispenser. PROS: (1) well built; (2) inexpensive; (3) very little chemical odor from the plastic. CONS: (1) standard 2" wide tape roll fits loosely on the circular tape roll-holder instead of being a snug fit; so unless you cradle it a certain way with your hand, the tape roll tends to want to fall off the circular spindle; (2) to get started taping a box, you have to manually secure the loose starter end of the tape to the box you're taping, instead of being able to "slap" the dispenser against the box to get the tape started.Nice and sharp! Cuts effortlessly!This tape gun is really neat and looks aweosme however the only problem with it is there is a sharp plastic piece right under the tape dispenser and if you are not careful where you place your index finger you could scratch yourself against it.It look small and really useless I am surprised no one at the manufacture tested and felt that plastic piece sticking our right away?I bought this as a backup. for 1.50 its good enoughIt works, but not easy to use. If youre using regularly, I wouldnt recommend, but as a backup or very occasional use, its ok for the priceIt is well made but with one major flaw - the tape falls out of the side.I am trying to use and every time you pull the tape the roll slides out putting kinks and you having to manually shove it back in.You end up having to hold the tape in the holder while trying to dispense out of the front.I would avoid this product, just falls short of being usefull
