Highly recommend this book not only because it is written for ordinary people in an increasingly hostile world, but because it is also full of practical and useful ideas and tips and things to keep us safer. I have given copies to both my daughters and have read it myself and am encouraging my husband to read it too because it is so helpful and practical. I know that nothing can keep us safe from every scenario, but if we are armed with knowledge as to what to do in different situations and more importantly what not to do, then we stand a fighting chance in this chaotic world. This is not a book which will make you want to hide away and never come out, it is a book that helps give confidence and encourages you to be alert, smart and savvy in your day to day life. I would go so far as to also recommend this for teens, and the ideas can surely be shared with your children. There is some minor language in the book, but nothing that concerned me or my daughters. I now live in the US which can be in many ways a scarier place than the UK, Mr. Ryan's homeland - however with some variations and thought all the info in here is just as practical for those of us in the US as for those in the UK. Highly recommend this book and hope many will find it as useful as we have. Congrats to you Mr. Ryan you havedone us all a great service.
