It serves the purpose that I bought it for. If you need to keepmedication or valuables locked up, i recommend this item.This is a difficult review because of the eye opening issues of drug abuse I have experienced 1st hand in families. IF you do not have a full blown drug addict in the house who is prone to bouts of “fiending” and literally ripping metal boxes open with Tools this is a vastly SUPERIOR product to many I have tried. Even an addict cannot get in by way of dismantling the metal rod in the back. That has been the fault of many smalls I have purchased. There will probably be a you tube video out there on how to break in to it. But this is very sturdy. CANNOT BE PRIED OPEN AND THE HINGE IN THE BACK CANNOT BE REMOVED. I have an 8 year pro who eventually used a stethoscope to listen for the clicks to determine the combo during the intermittent times she could wrangle to be alone with it. BUT the combination can be changed. If you have it unlocked and open. So the product is NOT USELESS should that happen—- since it hasn’t been destroyed. It is well made. I was very impressed. But if you have an addict you are rehabbing— get a handgun safe and be done with it. But for good security from nosy teenage friends, neighbors, relatives, or just to relieve temptation... this one passes my test. The inner liner is cleverly sized for pill bottles of different sizes too. And it is just the right size to take with you if you don’t feel comfortable leaving your meds in the house For a day trip or a weekend getaway.I purchased this safe 5 months ago to protect medication in the home. During that time I have changed the combination with no problems, always testing before locking. This morning, the safe would not open. Although I was happy to be able to retrieve the medication, I was able to pry the box open with a heavy duty screwdriver. With that said, I would not purchase this again. Key locks are not an option in our home. Sorry this box failed.I have owned this lock box for a week now. I have successfully changed the code without any problem, although it did take some experimentation. I love this box! It fits into my drawer (sideways) and easily unlocks and opens without taking it out of the drawer. It's sturdy, well built, and very high quality. These people are serious about construction of their medication safe. I am ordering a second one for a second abode we frequent. We have growing grandchildren and I feel much better having meds locked away. Buy this. You will like it and will be glad to have it.This is just what it claims to be. It would not be impossible to break open this safe but it works great as a deterrent.came with a combination lock, but no combination!Can’t go wrong with it. It had a reprogrammable safe code. Has over 10 slots for meds and can be used for anything else you find important/valuable.Great safe for the drawer or closet - can be screwed in or hung but we just have it sitting in bathroom door. Good size for 6-8 bottles. Wish we had bought this years ago as it is a comfort knowing these Rx drugs are locked up.
