First off, let me start by describing what I'm shooting these through. Any experienced airgunner will tell you that the pellets your buddy shoots through his rifle with great results may shoot like absolute garbage in yours. You just have to buy a few tins and find the one that works best for your air rifle and setup. For me, these turned out to be the best I've used so far.I'm running these through a Crosman 2400KT Carbine from the Crosman Custom Shop. Mine has the 18" crosman barrel using a TKO muzzle brake, which I highly recommend as it quietens down the muzzle report to almost nothing. For optics I am using an AIM Sports dual illuminated reflex sight, which can be found here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CDPE6B4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Without accessories, this air rifle totaled just over 100 bucks plus shipping, so this is by no means a high end air rifle. It's a simple low fps, low maintenance backyard plinker and very small pest popper. Before using these, I ran some oil and cleaning patches through the barrel to get any debris knocked loose so that I could get an honest feel for the pellets. I wanted to set the scale as close to zero as I could so that I can get real data for my review. The short answer is, for me, these little boogers are fantastic. I fired about 30 shots through my carbine just getting the dot close to home and to get some lead in the barrel, then popped in a new CO2 cartridge and used the next four shots to dial it in at ten yards. After that, I moved the target back to 20 yards and fired four more shots. I could cover the group with a quarter, and remember, I was shooting with a 1x red dot, not a scope. With a scope, these would have probably been easily covered by a nickel. Before using these I shot Crosman premier .22 Hollowpoints and Domed, Crosman standard pointed, as well as all of the Benjamin .22 Pellet Sampler types. I couldn't get the shots to stay anywhere close to consistent with a single one of those pellets. I know some people complain about accuracy problems with pointed style pellets, but that's simply not the case with these little guys. Out of my first 30 shots, I did have 2, maybe 3 flyers who didn't group with the rest of the herd. Now that we've talked about accuracy, let's talk about the quality of the pellet itself, as well as penetration. These arrived undamaged and the tin was in great condition, for which I was much relieved. I did have to throw two pellets out of the test group because of slightly dented skirts, but it seems to me about 95% of the pellets are in great condition, which is a high number considering I've opened undamaged Crosman tins to find 15-20% of the pellets malformed or damaged. As far as penetration goes, these pellets really drill home. They seem to penetrate extremely well, and it's pretty obvious to me why that is. The points are well formed, have a good bit of material to them, and seem to be perfectly centered along the body of the pellet. I was really impressed by this. High penetration was exactly what I needed for my low fps carbine, because I don't trust the gun to push a flat or domed pellet hard enough to whack the various pests I have to dispose of. These almost guarantee a clean kill on very small critters due to great accuracy and penetration. Due to the lower fps of my air rifle, I can't offer an opinion as to penetration on game as big as a squirrel or rabbit. I just don't feel comfortable shooting something that size with my air rifle, so I apologize that I can't say how well they would do in that regard. Pest birds of medium to small size drop like a rock, though.Overall, I'm really happy with these, and went ahead and ordered 3 more tins to stock up a bit. As I said before, every air rifle will have pellets it likes and pellets it won't shoot straight no matter what you do. If you're still searching for a quality pellet for yours, I'd say that this is a great pellet to pick up and see, especially at this price point. You may just be blown away like I was. Best of luck, happy airgunning, and always remember to stay safe and be responsible while enjoying the sport. Cheers!
